    Im using my sons cellphone to leave a comment since my new one hasnt arived yet. Im a hobbiest woodworker, and have say, that while I definately do not have 'all' the power tools I would wish to have, I should say it was refreshing to see someone go through the 'necessary steps' without even sanding anything, apart from breaking off loose fibers with the saw blade?!! What you accomplished with just the 'absolute minimum of tools'(I definatly would'a-been switching back and forth between the drill-bit, and a freaking screw-driver-bit.!! It was killing my carpoltunel just watching you put those screws in by hand.! Im a 58yr old diesel mechanic.), good deal of sweat, and maybe a few tears is quite admerable.

    • @LEOKHAN
      @LEOKHAN 12 годин тому

      Your comment is an honour for me.. and now I think I have accomplished, what I was trying hard for.. everything was done on purpose, specially for the people who think power tools are a must for building such simple things... I myself is an old school guy too. Had to show what you have seen here. I m utterly happy to see your comment, this justified my hard work...& This video... thank you again for you honest comment & I'm glad you liked it. As a fellow hobbiest woodworker, I use to work on cars too. But now this is my only hobby left. I m glad to find a like minded fellow like you, have a look on my other projects too, All made by the same process.. & Sorry about hurting your carpal tunnel lol. 😂 I had a good forehand exercise in the process... Thanks again sir & stay tuned for more..

    Is that able to support a butcher block that is the same length as the board you used?

    • @LEOKHAN
      @LEOKHAN День тому

      Of course butcher block is already very hard & steady..just screw it tightly with the upper base frame & you are good to go. If you want extra rigidity... Just add another beam the In upper front side of the frame. It will make it a 2x2 front. More rigid for the support.!

      Ya sure brother, but it's the same process, if you wana build it in 4feet, just decrease the upper length to 4 feet from 8 feet and same with the table top.! But in the future I'll add a another table to make it L-shape. It will be a 4 feet one..

    So, depending on where in the world you are this will be MUCH more expensive than $45. In the USA, most MDF boards of that size are at LEAST $60, and that is without the nice woodgrain pattern on top. Add all the rest in and you are looking for at least $200+ for something like this. still nice, but way more than $45. But like I said, that is what it cost for where I am in the USA. I know some countries have much cheaper hardware cost

    • @LEOKHAN
      @LEOKHAN 6 днів тому

      i am sorry brother i cant understand why in the USA people don't find wholesale dealers for this MDF boards.. it's the cheapest material around the world, in Europe, Africa, Asia even in middle east too.... i think if u can find a Local production manufacturer. the price wont be this high, but it has to be a Local manufacturer. these mdf boards are made from waste.. $60 a board too high. even 1x2s arnt used as much as 2x4s... but any ways.. i hope you will be able to find one or if u wana use an alternative, a plywood can be used with the veneer, its gona be more cheaper then this i think... or plywood is costly too there..???? just wana know. any ways.... thanks for the visit and comment brother.. i hope you liked the process :)

      No it didn't even wobble with the wheels installed too.. because if u can see I used 2 upper beams and 1 lower beam that is connected to all 3 sides. With supporting beams on legs too.. so it has become very stiff and gives it rigidity..

    not bad. love the rbgs one simple but major addition to tools for this job would be a carpenter's square. you can pick one up for $5-10(USD) itll help ensure your lines are straight, cuts are square, and alignment is true. Also, from a structural standpoint, you could use only three screws in a triangle shape and it'd be just a strong as four screws.
